If you are a South Essex Homes resident and feel that you are in need of support, please contact our Housing Support Team in the first instance on 0800 833 160, who may then refer you on to another team so you can receive the appropriate specialist help.
Your Housing Support Officer is available to assist with a range of services to help improve residents' housing and financial situations. This includes support with making applications for the Essential Living Fund, Discretionary Housing Payment (to cover rent arrears), and the South Essex Homes Hardship Fund. They can also issue food vouchers, help with housing register applications, and facilitate referrals to occupational therapy services. Additionally, they can assist in setting up a HomeSwapper account for mutual exchanges, conduct welfare checks where necessary, and help residents apply for mobility scooters, housing benefits, and council tax support. Your Housing Support Officer can also signpost residents to external support agencies for additional assistance.
